Tenidiomas, Cambridge English Teaching Qualifications and Examinations Centre for the province of Cádiz, organizes two different training courses for Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, leading to obtaining the CELTA and Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) of the University of Cambridge.
TKT - Teaching Knowledge Test
The Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) assesses the skills required to teach English to speakers of other languages. The course consists of different modules and is suitable for teachers of all levels and students of all ages.
TKT, together with the certificates of CELTA and DELTA, forms part of the recognised range of Teaching Qualifications issued by Cambridge Asessment English: the Cambridge English Teaching Framework
Participants must accredit a level of English equivalent to B2 or higher and attend a pre-course interview with the course tutor.
The course has a total duration of 36 hours divided into 3 modules.
Online: February 1st to March 12th, 2021
Registration: 40,00 Euros
Course: 485,00 Euros
Exam fees and material included in the course fee
Further information regarding module content can be found on our exams web site : www.examscadiz.com
The CELTA course is suitable for teachers with little or no experience as well as experienced English teachers who have no formal qualifications. As the course progresses participants acquire a practical solid ESOL base and develop communicative classroom skills, learning the techniques necessary to obtain the accreditation: Cambridge Assessment English Certificate in English Language Teaching (CELTA), considered one of the most internationally respected qualifications for teachers of English.
CELTA is an intense course and it is wise to be well prepared. For online resources to support your CELTA journey, we highly recommend ELT-Training.com a website run by an experienced CELTA tutor. In particular, the free resource The Ultimate Guide to CELTA Success and the pre-CELTA Grammar for Language Teachers are extremely helpful.
Participants must accredit a high C1 level of English and attend a personal pre-course SKYPE interview with the course coordinator. Upon applying for the course paricipants must complete a written pre-interview task to ascertain that their language skills are sufficient to continue to the spoken interview. The pre-interview tasks focus upon knowledge of the English language and various aspects of teaching the language. If the pre-interview written tasks indicate that your level is adequate, you will receive an invitation to attend an interview
